Who we are
IDF was founded in 2006 by Andrea Luppi. Having a degree in structural civil engineering, he began his activities by focusing on fire resistance and reaction to fire of structures. Over the years, the company acquired several fire safety specialisations, starting with fire strategy and fire protection designs, always orienting fire solutions towards new technological challenges and international regulations.
Afterwards, the Fire Safety Engineering (FSE) department got excellent results from the very beginning as a performance-based engineering approach.
The company’s expertise in various fields helps establish relationships with main contractors and tackle major projects. Therefore, the active fire protection design and detection systems reach maturity through the natural company’s development. Today, IDF has more than forty professional technicians, eight departments and over twelve services.
IDF Fire Safety Engineering Ltd. based in London, with its headquarters in Bologna, Italy, has international partnerships in Europe, France, Switzerland and the United States of America, aiming to provide fire safety solutions worldwide.
